BACKGROUND —

I created this animation for the world-class research company, Nexus. I used morphing techniques alongside shape combinations to help convey the passion this company has for pursuing innovation.

Sketch it up —

Every good piece starts with sketches. Below, are my initial rough drawings, where I played with using shapes to channel different emotions.

When sketching, I begin by drawing fluidly to get the idea down on paper. Following this, I tend to rework the shapes, making them more geometric (and animation-friendly).
